Few months ago, a dear soul sister asked me a question: “WHAT KEEPS MY INNER SPARKS GOING even when at times it really dims out?”
My immediate response was “I do not know haha..” I have felt unmotivated, tired and wanting to throw in the towel many times and very often. Each time I lost my momentum, I felt lost and lousy but I always managed to pick up the pieces and START ALL OVER again. ‘WHAT'S KEEPING MY INNER SPARKS GOING?’ As I journal and reflect, I am guessing it is a PROMISE and COMMITMENT: ❤️ To MYSELF - 👧🏻It is my sole responsibility to love and take good care of myself before I can do the same for others. 🙇♀️It is my way of loving those who love me. They want me to be joyful, happy and healthy too. 🧚🏻It is my inspiration to continue to be the beautiful version of myself now and yet to come. 🌎 To this EARTH - 🧘🏻♂️To fulfill my humble role as a HUMAN BEING. 🌸To love, honor and care for Mother Earth. 🌷To show kindness, add value and impact someone’s life as little and as much as I can. ☀️To SPIRIT 🌳To be a vessel of love, wisdom and peace. 🪷To be a vessel for them to work through me to guide others. 🪻To trust Spirit and my ancestors that they are always with me and watching over me. Few days ago, I happened to read a message by Dr. Jaiya John, from his book - We Birth Freedom at Dawn, and it gave me the “Aha”! ‘The great project of your life is to become a safe space for yourself and all living things. To be imperfect and flawed, to regress and forget, to wander and be lost, to grow weary or unwell, to be abandoned or betrayed, to flush with despair or be paralyzed with terror, and yet wake again each day and resume this project. For each day you are given is a newborn miracle that sings: You still have time to become a living sanctuary. And wouldn't that be your greatest creation of all.’ Happy Winter Solstice to all! To the one reading this, may it inspire you to also honor your inner sparks and to keep it glowing! If you can share, I am happy to know WHAT KEEPS YOUR INNER SPARKS GOING? At the balcony, gazing at the candle, I feel the cool breeze brushing softly on my skin. The gentle whisper of the birds welcomes the breaking of the dawn. The aroma of the incense pervades the air. As I take a sip of my cacao, my heart is immersed in a sense of peace and gratitude. I am so nourished.
‘Thank you Spirit, I am so grateful to be here.’ This year has been challenging for many, including myself. Guess the Year of Dragon is meant to awaken our power and courage. One of my greatest wins this year is a paradigm shift from: 🤦🏻♀️‘Things happen TO ME’ to 😌‘Things happen FOR ME’, to 😎’THEY ARE WITH ME.’ When we perceive ‘Things happen TO ME’, we can easily fall into victimhood and feel disempowered. When we shift to ’Things happen FOR ME’, we understand that every situation is here to help us learn, heal and grow. One of my teachers had said it in a very candid way - To turn the SHIT Into GOLD. However, we can feel we are taking on the battles alone especially when it is a very challenging and tricky situation. This is why ‘They are WITH ME’ is so important. “They” can be our family, loved ones, friends, teachers, mentors or coaches. It can be our faith, the invisible force, guidance and protection. THEY ARE WITH ME is like turning on a generator when we are “out of power”. This could eventually release the myth that I AM ALONE. Very soon, 2024 will become history. I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who are with me. THEY are my teachers, coaches, mentors, beautiful friends, spiritual communities, my ancestors and spiritual guides. If you are feeling a little deflated or defeated, let me remind you: “If you can make it so far, you are simply amazing!” Give yourself a hug and know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Feel free to drop me an email at [email protected] if you need some form of support. Much love Do you
Imagine a HUGE POT filled with water to the rim? Water is your passion. As time passes, you find holes in the pot and the water starts leaking. You are a very resourceful and dedicated person, so you keep filling up the water. BUT you forget to patch the holes! You keep filling up, the water continues to seep out from the holes. What a strenuous effort! Does this ring a bell to you? Do you do a lot of self reflection, inner or spiritual work to FILL yourself up? But forgotten to take practical and reasonable steps to SAY NO to what DRAIN you? If yes, it is time to take good care of YOUR POT OF PASSION! If you are looking for a coach and a healer to guide and hold you accountable, drop me an email at [email protected] In the meantime, give yourself a pat too! You have been resilient and dedicated enough such that the pot of passion did not dry up! Much love.. |
